Premium websites for contractors

The best contractor in town shouldn’t have the worst website on the block.

Alden Sites builds websites for plumbing, HVAC and home-service companies — designed to turn a local search into a phone call, an estimate and booked work. Then wires up what happens after the lead arrives.

Plumbing

Stillwater Plumbing Co.

Plumbing you don’t have to think about.

A dark editorial identity for a residential plumbing company, built around one promise: good plumbing work should barely interrupt your house.

  • 01Before / after sliderThree real job types, dragged with a thumb. Contractors love showing work and have never had a good way to do it.
  • 02Scroll-linked service stageEight services in one list, with a photograph that follows both the cursor and the scroll position.
  • 03Owner and crew storytellingA section built for the thing that actually beats the franchise down the road — the owner’s face.
  • 04Sticky mobile conversionA call / request bar that appears after the hero and steps aside when the form arrives.
  • 05Eight full service pagesEach one written properly, with its own FAQ schema and its own pricing explanation.

Lighthouse, mobile emulation, production build. Homepage.

HVAC

Truevane Heating & Air

Your house should have one temperature.

A precision-instrument identity for a residential HVAC company, with three interactive tools that turn a confused homeowner into a qualified call.

  • 01Repair or replaceFour questions, honestly scored. It will tell a homeowner to keep the system they have — which is exactly why the leads it does produce are good ones.
  • 02Comfort controlA slider that moves from too cold to too hot, changing the room tint, the readout and the copy to a different real complaint at each stop.
  • 03System ageFour decade bands with candid guidance. The replacement lead generator that never lies to anyone.
  • 04Problem selectorSeven symptoms, straight to the right page, no form in the way.
  • 05Maintenance membershipRecurring revenue presented as a membership card rather than a price list.

The upgrade

Same business. Different website.

Eight things almost every contractor site gets wrong, one at a time.

  1. A theme somebody bought, with your logo dropped in the header

A palette, a typeface and a layout chosen for your business

  2. The phone number in 12px grey in a corner

A call bar that follows the visitor down the page on a phone

  3. Four seconds to first paint on a phone on 4G

Static files, modern image formats, first paint in under two

  4. One page listing every service in a bulleted list

A page per service, written properly, each ranking on its own

  5. Stock photos of models in clean overalls

Your work, your truck, your crew, cropped and sequenced properly

  6. Copy about being a trusted partner in quality solutions

Copy that answers what the homeowner is actually worried about

  7. A twelve-field contact form nobody completes

Four fields, validated, delivered where you will see it

  8. Nothing happens for six hours after the form is sent

A text on your phone before the visitor closes the tab

Why contractors, specifically

The specialisation is the feature.

The call is the conversion

Not a newsletter signup, not a PDF download. Everything on a contractor site should be measured against whether the phone rang.

Mobile is not a version, it is the site

Your customer is standing in a wet room holding a phone one-handed. That is the primary layout, not a responsive afterthought.

Service areas are real

Where you will drive, and how far, is a genuine buying question. It deserves a page, not a footer line.

Emergencies change the design

A homeowner at 11pm needs a different first screen than one browsing on a Sunday. Both have to work.

Photos are the proof

Contractors have the best raw material of any industry and almost none of them use it. Your finished work is the whole argument.

Owners do not want a CMS

You are not going to log in and edit pages. I stopped pretending otherwise and it made every site better.

Pricing

Three starting points, not a menu.

Every project gets scoped on a call before a number is final. These are what things actually cost, not a teaser to get you to ask.

Launch

A contractor whose current site is actively costing them calls.

From$1,500

Typical range $1,500–$2,000

The fastest route from a website that embarrasses you to one that works. Same design standard as the flagship builds, fewer pages.

  • Custom design — not a theme with your logo on it
  • Up to 6 pages, including 3 service pages
  • Copywriting for every page (this is usually the hard part)
  • Mobile-first build with a call-first layout
  • Your photography edited and placed, or licensed stock if you have none
  • Technical SEO: titles, descriptions, schema, sitemap, robots
  • Lead form delivered to your email
  • Static hosting setup and launch

TimelineUsually live inside a week once photos and content are in.

Start a project

Operator

A contractor who wants the lead handled, not just captured.

From$5,000

Scoped per project. Most land $5,000–$8,500.

The website plus the plumbing behind it. What happens in the four minutes after somebody presses the button is usually worth more than the button.

  • Everything in Growth
  • Lead notification workflows — text and email, instantly
  • Missed-call follow-up
  • CRM or scheduling connection where you already have one
  • Review request automation after a completed job
  • Quote and intake routing
  • A written runbook so none of it is a black box

Not included

  • Custom software built from scratch
  • Anything requiring a licence or subscription you do not already hold

TimelineThree to four weeks. Automation is built after the site is live.

Start a project

Good to know

  • Every project is scoped and quoted before any work begins. These are starting points, not a menu.
  • There is no checkout on this site on purpose. You get a call, a written scope and a Stripe invoice — 50% to start, 50% at launch.
  • You own the site, the domain and the content. No lock-in, no monthly fee to keep it online.

How it runs

Five steps. No discovery deck.

  1. Show me the business

One call. Your current site, what you actually do, where you go, what you want more of. Send me whatever photos exist.

  2. I build the new version

Design, copy, mobile, conversion, SEO and hosting. You are not project-managing this and there is no discovery ritual.

  3. You review it

A real link, not a slide deck. Practical feedback — wrong phone number, that photo, we do not do that any more.

  4. We launch

Invoice, deploy, point the domain. Usually inside a week of you saying yes to the review.

  5. Optional: keep going

Automation, new pages, updates. Or nothing at all — it is static, it will keep running without me.

About

Jordan Bressler — Founder

I care where the lead goes after somebody presses the button.

I came to this from the automation side, not the design side. Most of my work before this was systems: Linux, APIs, workflow engines, self-hosted infrastructure, and a lot of time spent making tools that were never meant to talk to each other talk to each other.

That turns out to matter for contractors more than it does for anyone else. The website is only the first four seconds. What decides whether you win the job is whether the lead reaches a human quickly, whether anyone follows up, and whether the customer gets asked for a review at the right moment.

So I build both halves. The site is designed to get the call, and the plumbing behind it is designed so the call does not sit in an inbox until Thursday.

I work with a small number of contractors at a time, which is why the two builds on this site are finished properly rather than there being twelve half-done ones.

What that covers

  • Web design and front-end build
  • Copywriting for trades
  • Workflow and automation design
  • API and system integration
  • Linux, self-hosted infrastructure
  • AI systems and agent tooling
  • Technical SEO
  • Practical troubleshooting

FAQ

Common questions, answered before you have to ask.

Most contractor sites land between $1,500 and $5,000 depending on how many services you want covered properly and whether you want the automation behind it. Every project is scoped and quoted before any work starts — there is no hourly surprise at the end.

Because every one of these is scoped. A three-service plumber and a shop with nine trades and a maintenance plan are not the same job, and pretending otherwise with a checkout would mean either overcharging you or under-delivering. You get a call, a written scope and a Stripe invoice.

A Launch build is usually live inside a week. A full Growth build is two to three weeks, and the schedule is almost always set by how fast your photos arrive rather than by me.

Yes. The domain, the content and the code. There is no monthly fee required to keep it online and nothing stops you taking it elsewhere.

You can, and I will show you how. Realistically you will not, and that is fine — text and photo changes are usually turned around the same day. I stopped building sites around a CMS nobody logs into.

The build uses licensed stock and I give you a short list of exactly what to photograph, in what order. Then we swap them in as they arrive. A site with your real work beats a site with the best stock in the world.
